Many Ways
There are many ways to use a “cooter” as Sophia calls her scooter, but first of all, it’s important to make sure the wheels are clean.
Then you should carry it around for awhile, just to get to know each other a bit.
Maybe take a rest.
Carry it some more.
Test it out.
Let her roll!

Sophia’s Birthday-Recap
Can you tell she’s excited for chocolate cake? (with strawberry frosting!)
Someone else was excited to help decorate the cake.
Sophia’s birthday included many of her favorites: rice krispies with yogurt, macaroni and cheese, pineapple, dessert, yellow toe nail polish (her favorite color), and visits from both sets of grandparents.
I don’t want to forget…
Ok, her birthday was a month ago. I’m just now getting around to sifting through pictures and posting to this blog. Such is life.
Things I don’t want to forget about Sophia at 3 years old:
- Singing “My God is So Big” in the hallway at the top of our lungs
- Singing silly, made-up-in-the-moment bedtime songs. Songs about ceiling fans, chapstick, forks, stuffed animals, and the like.
- Doing your hair every morning while you sit on the counter by the sink
- Your willingness and desire to share
- Making cookies with you when Caleb and Daddy go out for lunch
- How cute it is when you don’t say your beginning s blends. “Can I take my cooter on our walk, Mommy?”
- Your desire to take care of Ava and make sure she is well-supplied with toys

Spring
Seeing snow on the ground this morning made me love seeing these pictures all the more. Life is good.
Peter Rabbit
Sometimes I love that my kids get to grow up in the Internet age. Other times I hate that I have to parent them through the Internet age. For reasons like this…I conducted an innocent search for preschool activities related to The Tale of Peter Rabbit. I saw this idea. 20 minutes later, my bathtub looked like this:
They actually had a lot of fun, retold the story plenty of times, and helped clean it up during bath time that night.
