I haven’t blogged in awhile, so be prepared for a quick summary of our last month. July has kept us busy but we’ve still found plenty of time to enjoy summer.
For the last 2 weeks we took swimming lessons. While both kids loved the lessons, Caleb is still our cautious one while Sophia is a daredevil in the water. I think they’ll be in the same swimming class next summer!
Sophia’s teacher Hannah was the best!
We’ve spent time hanging out with friends and being goofy…
And Sophia’s made good use of the scissors she received for her birthday. The gift wasn’t the scissors. It was the willingness to clean up the smithereens of paper she leaves behind!
Caleb also had his first experience at the dentist, which went very well, thanks to the recommendation of a good dentist from a friend and his being able to watch me in the dentist’s chair the week before.
Grandma Baker came to stay and play for a few days.
We made a trip to Grandpa and Grandma Ryon’s and enjoyed a really fun pool. (I never pictured myself going to the pool as much as I have this summer, but it’s been a great way to get the kids outside without dying of heat!)
Luke and I celebrated 8 years of marriage. (Caleb thinks that’s nothing compared to Grandpa and Grandma’s 44 years!)
Caleb and Sophia have been playing all sorts of crazy games.
Time flies when you’re having fun!
